My interest in birth began in my early teens in Sweden, when I became fascinated with everything about the process. After moving there from the USA at 11, I was able to choose a career path at 15 and began studying to become a medical assistant with the goal of becoming a midwife.
At 22, I supported my first birth while working in labor and delivery at a high-risk hospital in Lund, Sweden. With experience from over 300 births, I guide you with calm, informed support. I learned immensely from the midwives around me. While this experience confirmed my calling, it also exposed me to trauma that led me to step back and expand my knowledge in areas like child infections, midwife clinics, postpartum care, complications, and breastfeeding support.
In 2017, I returned to the USA, where I worked in a baby store, taught babywearing classes, and collaborated with postpartum doulas, family therapists, and lactation consultants. That same year, I became a certified birth doula—and I haven’t looked back since.
I’m passionate about educating expectant parents with evidence-based information so they understand their options and can have the most positive birth experience possible. Birth is a profound life event, and the people supporting you matter. My goal is to help you move from fear to excitement and create a birth experience you can look back on as empowering—even if it doesn’t go as planned.
It’s a true honor to be invited into such a sacred space. I aim to support each client in making their birth a positive, transformative memory.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, going to the gym, meal prepping, exploring nature, and spending time with my husband Berk, a fitness professional specializing in pregnancy and postpartum strength training.
Working closely with clients creates a lasting bond—that’s how Birth Linked came to be. If you’re my client or student, know that we are connected in a deeply meaningful way through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
